Companies are coming under increasing economic and social pressure. They have to deftly navigate an ecosystem in which stakeholders’ expectations, competition and regulations – not to mention the considerations of sustainable development – are mounting. These issues make decision-making more complicated, but they should also be seen as opportunities. For it is our belief that companies which positively embrace their ecosystem and its economic, social and environmental shifts will reap performance benefits over the long-term. That’s why, after initiating efforts in 2019 and 2020 to take this transition on board for our Group, primarily through in-house initiatives including a day “given” to our staff to use for “CSR” actions, in 2021 we have decided to take a much more enterprising approach. In this regard, CRYLA GROUP’s Management would like to give each of our employees the chance to invest in a connected initiative, whether within the Group or outside. Our staff has thus been able to take part in countless social, cultural or sports events for their own well-being and that of their environment.
RESTOS DU COEUR The first employees seized this opportunity to lend a hand to Les Restos du Coeur, a leading French charity committed to fighting hunger, during one of their collections. A good deed in support of people in need!
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY We would like to thank the Group’s employees who contributed to buying roses on March 8, 2021. 20% of the price was donated to the Besançon-based charity for combating violence against women: Solidarité Femmes 25 In March 2021, Cryla Group also acted in solidarity for the benefit of homeless women, through the charity “Féminité Sans Abri”. They were given essential toiletries and masks.
TRAIL DES FORTS Besançon’s Trail des Forts has gained a reputation as the biggest open-air race in eastern France, with routes blending remarkable heritage, history and natural surroundings.
This year, we were able to take part in a historical escapade through the fortifications around Besançon’s Citadel, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. A thrilling experience for the eyes and the senses, for 15 years already. On October 9-10, 2020, 11 of the Group’s employees took part. A truly memorable event around a shared passion.
GIVING BLOOD Following our participation, the French Blood Establishment (EFS) shared the results of its “giving blood” challenge with us: 8 donors from CRYLA Group, including 3 new donors! A huge THANK YOU and WELL DONE to our colleagues for their involvement (and courage!)
Our target for 2021 is to completely revise our CSE policy in keeping with our overall strategy and vision. We are convinced that this process will help us to gain an ever clearer understanding of our environment and to better manage the positive and negative impacts of our business. In this way, we will be playing a proactive part in considering the key issues shaping our planet and taking up the challenges that lie ahead.
